Our Commitment to You
At Breathe Pilates, our policies are designed with one goal in mind: to create a welcoming, professional environment where every member feels valued and every session runs smoothly. We believe that clear expectations lead to better experiences — for you and for everyone in the studio. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the guidelines below.
Understanding
What we do is built on transparency.
Fair Cancellations
We respect your time and ask the same in return.
Member-First Mindset
Our rules protect the community, not just the studio.
What is Pilates?
Created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900's, it is a movement system that uses control, precision, and breath to progress through its structure across all apparatus.
Can anyone do Pilates?
Yes — we believe that Pilates and all fitness is meant for all bodies and fitness levels. Each class is able to be modified to meet each participant's needs.
What is the goal of Pilates?
To move better, build awareness, and strengthen with intention. After a class, you should feel longer and more aligned, energized and worked but not exhausted, and have a clearer mind that is more connected to your body.
Why are there other fitness classes besides Pilates?
We want to provide a variety of choices to our community, as each person has different preferences on how to meet their fitness goals.
Yes — all reformer classes require advance registration. Class sizes are limited to the number of reformers in the studio, so spots fill quickly. We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead to secure your place.
No — all other classes do not require advance registration, but it is highly recommended.
Out of respect for instructors and fellow clients who arrived on time, latecomers more than 5 minutes late may not be admitted once class has begun. Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early, especially for your first visit. If you know you'll be running behind, contact us as soon as possible.
We require cancellations at least 12 hours before your scheduled class. This gives us the opportunity to open the spot to someone on the waitlist and ensures our instructors can plan accordingly. Private sessions require a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours of class will result in a late cancel fee of $15 for unlimited memberships or forfeiture of the class credit for all other package type. This policy exists to keep our small class sizes fair and accessible to all members.
No-shows are treated the same as late cancellations. If you have a class credit, it will be forfeited. If you're on an unlimited membership, a no-show fee of $15 will apply. We understand life happens — if you have an emergency, please reach out and we'll do our best to work with you.
Please do not come to class if you are feeling unwell — your health and the health of our community come first. If you need to cancel due to illness, contact us directly so that we can address the situation appropriately. We ask that you notify us as early as possible so we can fill your spot.
What if the studio cancels a class?
Although every effort it made to maintain the class schedule, there are some unavoidable situations that require cancellations. Unlimited memberships will not be affected. Other memberships and credits will be added back to the client.
Membership cancellations require notice at least 30 days before your next billing date. Please email or call us. Cancellations made after the billing cycle has begun will take effect the following billing period.
Isn't this location a dance studio?
Yes, we share the space. Dance students are present at times in the building and we ask for your patience when sharing the waiting and bathroom areas. Sharing the space also drives schedule creation.
Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout attire that allows your instructor to observe your alignment. Loose shorts are highly discouraged. Grip socks are recommended for all Reformer classes and are available for purchase in our studio store. Please bring a spillproof water bottle — staying hydrated is essential.
Is the equipment clean?
Equipment is cleaned by each participant after each class. Studio staff thoroughly clean and disinfect equipment on a regular basis.
